Peace Mission Orphanage

What is the Peace Mission?

  • Peace Mission is a non-profit Orphanage that supports children of all ages from India.
  • In the early 1990’s the orphanage was reestablished by Pastor Roy.
  • Currently Peace Mission Orphanage is funded through private donors as well as churches and organizations in the United States.

About the children

  • Currently living at the Pease Mission Orphanage are 25 orphans, 24 of which are girls and 18 are looking for their personal sponsor.

  • As you could imagine life is tough in any situation where supplies are limited, but the children living in Peace Mission are all extremely happy and joyous. The comforting atmosphere is described by many children as a” big family”.
  • Each child participates in the daily activities of the orphanage. They rotate chores and every child contributes to the orphanage.
  • Almost all of the children are from tribal dissent. Almost all of the children who have returned to their tribes have taught the word of God and turned many to Christ.

The Fact of the matter..

  • All over India there are only increasing numbers of children who are entering Orphanages.
  • Recently, as India suffers a major earthquake more than 500 children are being rocked into orphanages with no way out and no family to go to.
  • As you know India is not a nation of equality to all and their bias is directed toward woman. As proven by the overwhelming ratio of women to men currently living in the orphanages.
  • No need to be discouraged, women who have graduated from the Peace Mission Orphanage are doing great thing with their lives. For example Romani is currently working as a nurse and Blessy is a professional soccer player.
